This diary can get a little confusing, so here's a tentative cast page. I am not sure how I feel about this, so if you like or dislike it, please let me know. Usually I do what I want but I'm really on the fence with this one.

The Best Friend
Also known as: Love of my Life, Bearer of Pain, Justice
We've been friends since my sophomore year, so four years now. When things are good, they're amazing and satisfying, and when things are bad, they're awful, sit in the dark crying, blood everywhere bad. I love him and a lot of the problems stem from who he is, how he shuts off and doesn't admit to any love he feels because it's weak. We currently attend the same college, but that won't be the case for much longer.

My Father
Also known as: The dude who impregnated my mother
Known him since I was born and a couple of weeks after that is probably the last time we ever got along. I have some very good memories from when I was a child, but even back then we only ever really related on an intellectual, theoretical level. I don't like him as a person and the feeling is mutual.

My Mother
Also known as: The lady who gave birth to me
She's a small, quiet, shy woman. Fought breast cancer twice now and winning. Subservient to my father. Sometimes I resent her for that. Any kindness I get is from her.

The Naval Officer
Also known as: That friend of mine that joined the navy
She's several cities away now, but we touch every so often. Her life is working out and I'm glad for that, but sometimes I wish she were still around. We have several inside jokes.

Little Rock
Also known as: My student with autism
He is probably my favorite student, which came as a surprise to me and everyone I know. I thought his parents hated me at first, but as I've grown as a teacher and he's grown as a student, that's changed. He has difficulty focusing on one thing, it's like there's too much for him, but he understand everything that's going on. I think of him as being sort of a mute genius. "Little Rock" is as close to a normal name as I get in this diary. It is a translation of both his real name and his personality.
